Always keep you eyes open for controlling powers. They are everywhere and could even be in your own house operating through you, your spouse, or your children. This teaching will open your eyes.
Let’s look at rebellion and witchcraft, as defined by the bible.
1 Sam 15:23
1 Samuel also said to Saul, “The LORD sent me to anoint you king over His people, over
4 So Saul gathered the people together and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand foot soldiers and ten thousand men of
6 Then Saul said to the Kenites, “Go, depart, get down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them. For you showed kindness to all the children of
10 Now the word of the LORD came to Samuel, saying, 11 “I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments.” And it grieved Samuel, and he cried out to the LORD all night. 12 So when Samuel rose early in the morning to meet Saul, it was told Samuel, saying, “Saul went to Carmel, and indeed, he set up a monument for himself; and he has gone on around, passed by, and gone down to Gilgal.” 13 Then Samuel went to Saul, and Saul said to him, “Blessed are you of the LORD! I have performed the commandment of the LORD.”
14 But Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?”
15 And Saul said, “They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and the oxen, to sacrifice to the LORD your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.”
16 Then Samuel said to Saul, “Be quiet! And I will tell you what the LORD said to me last night.”
And he said to him, “Speak on.”
17 So Samuel said, “When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of
20 And Saul said to Samuel, “But I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and gone on the mission on which the LORD sent me, and brought back Agag king of Amalek; I have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. 21 But the people took of the plunder, sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the LORD your God in Gilgal.”
22 So Samuel said:
“Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
As in obeying the voice of the LORD?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams.
23 For rebellion is as thesin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the LORD,
He also has rejected you from being king.”
24 Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice. 25 Now therefore, please pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the LORD.”
26 But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you from being king over Israel.”
27 And as Samuel turned around to go away, Saul seized the edge of his robe, and it tore. 28 So Samuel said to him, “The LORD has torn the
Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and this is what it is when a person who is a teacher of the word of God, twists the scripture around so that it is unrecognizable and then lays this on the church as New Testament doctrine. In other words, that person has no authority from the scripture to back up their position. Yet, that person imposes that doctrine on their congregation. Instead of God being in authority through His Word, the person with the false doctrine becomes the God of that congregation and is in rebellion, witchcraft, stubbornness, and idolatry 1 Sam 15:23, and is leading them into demonic bondage.
Now who is the ultimate rebel? Why Satan, of course.
How does Satan operate on people? He operates in the following ways:
This is how you can recognize witchcraft – by observing any of these attributes in anyone including your believing friends, spouse, elder, deacon, or pastor.
While you are listening to a pastor preach, keep your eyes open for any evidence of control, or spiritual manipulation into a doctrine that cannot be backed up by the teachings of Jesus and the apostles under the concept of grace, which is total freedom.
Look everything up that that person is teaching on to see if they are telling you the truth.
Let’s talk about Satan’s ultimate objective as far as you are concerned.
Satan’s ultimate objective is to get you under the curse of the Law. He knows just how religious systems operate.
Let’s talk about this subject and how it is accomplished.
In Galatians 3:1-14 Paul says to the churches
1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?
*** In other words, who has cast a spell on you – bewitched you – by operating as the spirit of witchcraft?
2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?4
*** This is what the MosaicLaw such as tithing does, it gets you into a salvation by works – the works of the Law, instead of walking in the Spirit according to Gal 5:22 - 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law which causes you to become mature in Christ
you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?
5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— 6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
Now I have heard pastors say that Abraham tithed to Melchizadek. That is true. But, he did it only once and tithed the plunder from a battle to rescue his brother. This is summarized in Gen Chapter 14. I‘ve heard pastors make preposterous statements that they didn’t tithe through the Mosaic Law from where they brought their perverted teaching calling a tithe money, when it isn’t, but through Abraham who regularly tithed. No where is that in the word of God that Abraham practiced tithing? It isn’t. It is a myth.
Did they read Gen 14 to you, or just mention it in passing? No. They did not read it to you or you would have seen what the nature of Abraham’s tithe was – 1 tenth of spoils or plunder – and that he did it only once. This truth has been concealed from you.
They then couple Gen 14 with Hebrews Chapters 7 and 8 in an attempt to show that new testament believers, and Abraham tithed. Now apparently, they didn’t read down far enough into Chapters 7 and 8 to get the context of this discussion – which contrasts the old covenant with the new covenant - where it is clearly established in Heb 8:13 that the old covenant was made obsolete.
Hebrews 8:1-13 1 Now this is the main point of the things we are saying:
We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a Minister of the sanctuary
and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.
3 For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One also have something to offer. 4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; 5 who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” 6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought
for a second. 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when
I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them,
says the LORD. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of
13 In that He says, “A new covenant, ” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
